BSO Davanci Robotics 8 days post op.

I had a BSO on the 17th of July(8 days post op) and it was done DaVanci Robotic . I am feeling ok , just still alittle tender in my stomach and get tired quickly. I went to my Dr yesterday and he released me. He told me to do what i felt like with no restrictions. Would it be safe to have intercourse. I am confused!!! Please help. My husband wants to wait a couple more weeks, because he doesn't want it to hurt me and I had no post op bleeding at all.

I have never heard of somone being released so early. Was it vaginal and your cervix removed? Mine was vaginal wih my cervix removed and Doctor did not release me until 6 weeks and then told me to wait another week of so on intercourse.

I had my uterus removed several years ago. I had Davanci robotics I have 5 small incisions . To my knowlege I still have my cervix. Just my tubes and ovaries was removed.

I had the same exact surgery and my doctor told me at my one week post-op appointment, that I could start easing back into my regular routine and that my body would let me know if I was overdoing it. He also told me absolutely no intercourse until after my 8 week post-op appointment. He did say that "outercourse" was fine. As you read more posts, you will see that every doctor is different in how they advise their patients. I would contact my doctor and specifically ask him or her about intercourse, before doing that. It's better to be safe than having to endure a longer recovery. Good luck

I had a separate BSO as well, also davinci. I was cleared for sex at my one wk appt, but you might call to clarify if that's what your Dr meant. I specifically asked so I would know. It can't hurt to wait. (I'm just talking about the BSO here, not including the hyst, which was a whole other time and restrictions).
