Good to see you back Katscotz!!

Dr not too concerned about the pain. Checked out the place, with the whole does it hurt when I do this trick, hate that, of course it hurts!! Says it is most likely the muscle they had to go through with the lap procedure. Makes sense when I stop to think about it as only hurts when I move and hardly, if any, discharge/spotting. If I stay still doesnt hurt. Said to give it a couple of weeks and if it doesn't slowly, stressed slowly, get better need to come back and get it checked out. Makes me feel better since I thought maybe I had done something stupid when I was trying so hard to be good.

More concerned about the temp. Said my path showed a chronic inflammation, has long technical name I know, but can't spell. Might explain all my problems with wacky white count, but doesn't explain why I have a temp now since uterus is gone and not getting better, but maybe a little worse. Took blood work and urine sample to see what is going on. Waiting to see results. Did a few errands while out and about and everyone commented on my "rosy" cheeks so still running a temp. Don't feel that bad, just a little tired.

Doctor relieved my mind, but stressed still taking it easy if I want to go back to school in a little less than two weeks. Still can't lift for 4 weeks. Not very patient person unless you happen to be a teenager in my math class I guess. So will still be a long recovery for me, but feel better that he thinks the actual surgery area looks good and the pain is NOT related to something internal or stupid I did.
Hi goldensrus glad your pain is probably something simple which will get better on its own. Hope they find out what is giving you the fever. And I bet you are happy doc said it was not anything you had done. Be well.

Went to the doc to get my staples out today -- unexpected pinches, but feels better with steri strips instead. Doc said the pathologist called and said they found a nodule and thank goodness it was benign. Talk about heart in your toes... But, doing okay, sounds like I'm recovering "normally.". I'll take that any day! Been a long time since anything I've done was considered normal. Lol!

thanks goldensrus for asking, it sounds like you got a pretty good
report today, except for the fever : ( are they checking for unrinary tract infection? there's got to be infection somewhere that your body is fighting. keep us posted.

im doing better today, with the yeast...found some monistat external cream and used it last night. today less itching and not
much discharge..so il give it another day before i call the doc.
going in on thursday for removal of stitches, can ask then if it is still bothering me.

thanks for your care and really hope you get some answers and
relief form the fever....keep resting and eating, even if you aren't hungry.

lainey (spirit 53)

p.s. we have two laineys here, one is helaine the helper on our site, whose nick name is lainey/laine and myself. my name is celaine and was also nicknamed lainey maybe ill just call myself lainey53 from now on!

uck , July 20th had my total LAVH .Didn't seem to have a problem with swelly belly ,in fact was pretty proud to be able to put on a few pair of shorts with in a few days , no problem .

Until now ! uccck took kids to dentist ,lunch ,and wally -mart ,quick trip ,my first real outing , had to undo my shorts before i even made it in to house!

Sore ,swollen ,like a water balloon now ,serious water balloon! ! Look 8 months prego.

I felt so good the last few days even considered going back to work next week . Re-thinking that now .

What i find most is how our bodies trick us into feeling good ,then every single sign or symptom the sisters have warned us about ,hits with a vengeance!

what a reminder !

Glad to hear doing better Lainey53 Those infections are just plain irritating and uncomfortable. Have had enough of those to know what you are going through. Can't imagine doing that while recovering from this surgery.

Yeah doctor's appointment put my mind at rest for some things. Have been battling fevers and high white counts for a few years and getting the chronic endometretis diagnosis, by the way caused by an IUD, might explain those, but not this current issue as my surgeon said took out what had the infection so should be getting better, not worse. They did take both blood and urine so testing for multiple infections. Am used to having infections no one knows where so nothing new for me, just hope it doesn't keep me out of the start of school in two weeks. Going to rest up as much as possible, even if it kills me , till then and wait for results.

Hi glad to hear updates on all of you. I am now day 11 and have been crying all day. I still have my ovaries but maybe they took the week off! I am in so much pain today . I feel like my left side is tearing and pulling and burning. Its worse sitting and lying on my side. I thought I was getting better each day. Not now. Im crying as I write this. Just didn't think I would hurt like this after all the hype of davinci. I dont have a fever but food still tastes funny and the pain is awful. I am a bigger woman so im thinking that my weight pulls on the sutures inside.

I had both of my ovaries out too. I am just not sure if I really need hormones. All I basically know about hormones is that they were trashed by the media several years back and I thought I would never have to take them. I guess I am worried about my bones but I could take calcium. My mood seems to have leveled out a bit since the first week. What are all the benefits that you have noticed for yourself?
Thanks~Missy

No as I weigh 98 and went through the same thing and I had everything removed except vagina. I am almost 6 weeks out and now have uti. Not much of appetite either, so we all go through same thing with different things going on. My Dr. Told me 6 - 8 weeks but want to feel better sooner. I am looking forward to week 9.

This site has been such a blessing! It has been educational, awe-inspiring, and a shoulder to cry on. The last 2 weeks have been such a roller coaster!
I am not looking forward to the stitches draining and the possible bleeding ( I have not noticed any discharge, but do notice the odor "down there".)
My libido is in over drive! I cannot wait for the all clear from the doctor. My fiancee is being so overly wonderful, though, and I am truly thankful for him.
Also thankful for Lainey and all her wisdom sharing. I hope my journey continues to be a good one and I look forward to reading this site daily.
<<<HUGS>>> to my hystersisters!
