Smile - Tah Tah

On July 9th 2012 I went into the hospital and had my surgery to remove all of my female organs. I suffered with heavy periods that lasted for over a year. I first had surgery to remove a fibroid and that was fairly successful for only a short time. I then had what they call a uteral eblation which for a time I thought was going to be successful but also failed. I was put on hormones for a short time and they did stop the heavy bleeding but I was told that I could not stay on them for long as they were just too dangerous at high levels. My surgery went well. My doctor told me that I did beautifully and I was elated to hear that news. I was only in the hospital for one day. I had my pain pump which, well it did help as I am on pain management anyway but the extra help was nice to have. The worst part for me was the catheter. I was very uncomforrtable when urinating afterwards and into my almost 6th week I am still experiencing some burning and discomfort. I take a supplement called Ultra Kidney Complex to try and help me along. I was sent the brochure from Hystersisters and it was so informative about this particular discomfort. It explained to me how this happens to some women and it takes time for this feeling of burning to subside. I am somewhat better but I still try and do little things to help me along like drink more water when I can. My surgical incision is getting better every day. I had a place that was gaping open on the left side of my incision but it seems to be closing in and I think I will be just fine. I probably have done more than I should as I am a person who has always had to do for myself. My boyfriend has been really good to me by helping me with the things I cannot or should not do let's say. I think I am healing properly but only time will tell. I got my pathology report from my doctor and although she was not the best at explaining what was going to happen to me she did her best I believe. Without the very informative information I recieved by mail from Hystersisters I don't think I could have gotten through this with as much knowledge, so thank you so much for this very helpful booklet and website. I hope that anyone facing this finds this website as it is one of the most informative one's out here that I have found so far. Again thankyou and good luck to all who have to go through this very emotional time in a woman's life~~
