Should I feel depressed?

I just found out this week that i have to have a vaginal hysterectomy - probably sometime in oct:new. I am keeping my ovaries so im not sure exactly what its called. I am depressed and i dont know why. I had my tubes tied many many years ago so its not the idea of not being able to have any more children. Im surprised about this feeling. I am also scared to death of having this surgery done. Just feel blah
