I don't know how you find out what ingredients are in the estrogen method. I'm going to try to look into that myself. Very allergic to soy. Epi-pen allergic. I couldn't use the oral estradiol, but seem to do better with the patch- still have to take the benadryl, but no more than before I started HRT except with the oral. With the oral, I was taking up to five 25mg benadryl and still had facial swelling and anaphylaxis symptoms (and was so tired I couldn't function.)
That is amazing! My mouth swelled up after taking oral estradiol 1 mg. The .5 didn't do it. I wonder if it was the dye in the pills.

Pharmaceuticals are prepared and packaged in set doses. (ie. Vivelle Dot .05mg., .075mg., .1mg.) and purchased through local drug stores. Many of them are still bioidentical. A compounding pharmacy uses raw product and produces specific formulations determined by your Dr. and in the form for delivery determined by your Dr. or practitioner. These are also bioidentical.

I had the same issue when I tried estrogel. I can’t say why, never had it with any other estrogen product.

I seem to get stuffed up sinuses, bit of headache, dizzy and then extreme gas/stomach issues shortly after i put on my estrogen cream. Not sure if Its an allergy, or just the side effects? I have to find something else because this is not working for me. I dont absorb it well either...ughhhhh

Re: still allergic reaction to different base - now what??

I was hoping to get some ideas from everyone for my own itching...driving me crazy...been getting worse as Weeks go on. I am not on any hormone replacement therapy and thought it could be due to lack of hormones? I will just start itching randomly...never total body..I was awake at 2am and thought my pubic area was on fire...so itchy and now little bumps show up with the itch..hydrocortisone cream gives a little relief but then a bit later it is on my hands or feet, or maybe my arm or back...and my head st times too...very random and very annoying! Any help would be appreciated!

Re: still allergic reaction to different base - now what??

my itching also comes with little red bumps. And the more you scratch, the WORSE it is!! But mine isn't random. Just where the cream goes. I've asked my dermatologist but they just say it's excema and gave me a steroid cream And the cream works but I don't like using it all the time. I think some of it has to do with stress... I've been journaling everything and the itching seems worse when I'm stressed out. Or anxiety is up. I have added extra progesterone to my regime just yesterday. At this point, I have to do something. The itching I thought was getting better - isn't really. Better than a few weeks ago but still there.
My Dr. appointment isn't until Sept. 19th so I have to just self medicate til then. I was reading thru my journal from last year and I had sore breasts and more anxiety til I added more progesterone. Maybe that will help with the itching too. I don' t know but all I can do is try.
