Smile - anyone in Ireland ? Re: anyone in Ireland ?

Hi Beastie, & anyone else who is from or living in Ireland. I'm now 5 weeks post op & doing fine. I haven't had any serious glitches and am taking it easy, still off work which is great but starting to think of maybe going back next week or the week after. I have my doctor's appointment on June 8th so don't know if I should wait until after that before I go back to work. I'm feeling fine, just not sleeping great & still swelly belly in the evenings.

Big hugs

It's great to have you join us!

If you've not already done so, please check out our <link> Post-Op Support Forum where you'll find all the other ladies recovering from surgery, and feel free to start a new thread there if you have any concerns. (To start a new thread, just click on the "New Topic" button which is located at the top and bottom left of that forum’s main page, or click here). We also have a Post-Op Page which is packed with information, too.

When you have a moment, it would be very helpful if you could tell us a little more by completing the basic surgery information in your Member Survey. (These details will then automatically appear at the top right of all your posts). You can do that by visiting your User Control Panel, or clicking here.

We’ll look forward to seeing you over on the hysterectomy message boards for any support discussions or questions, but hope you'll enjoy topics unrelated to surgery and recovery here in Neighborhoods!

Hi Laura,

I am 5 weeks post-op after having a TAH in UCHG. I am recovering well, have had no complications and am now starting to feel a lot more like myself now - and looking forward to being able to drive next week. I am still taking it fairly easy though -its not good when you have over done it.

The care in the hospital was excellent - the staff work hard to maintain your dignity, privacy and individuality. The place was spotless, pain relief well managed and the food was not too bad!

Take care,

April Knit
