Red face - Hi New To Menopause Due to Surgery Hi New To Menopause Due to Surgery

[font="Book Antiqua"][i][i]Hi I am new in here, I am a single 48 yr old, I should have joined months ago. I had my surgery on June 1st due to hemorraging at home. They said I had a huge fibroid and it outgrew it's blood source. I had a myomectemy in 2000 and a uterine embolism in 2006. Anyway, now I am among the menapause family and it is ok but the hot flashes are really intense. I have had flashes for the last 15 year s or so but these are unlike the ones I had previously. In any case I am going on week 13 post op and I get a little discouraged because of the lack of physical activity I can do. I lost about 40 pounds after the surgery and would like to keep it off. My eating is ok but I have my days. The skin around my belly is so tender that my clothes rubbing against it makes me very sore by end of day. I've only been back to work for two weeks full time and by end of day I am rushing home to ice and motrin. I am sure it will get better but it is discouraging at times. That is why I joined because I need to hear from folks who know what I am going through. Thanks and nice to be here!
