Post - Endometrail Hyperplasia, atypia (rapid) Endometrail Hyperplasia, atypia (rapid)

I went to my primary care doctor on April 1, 2002 for my annual pap-smear. She did the smear, but had a hard time seeing what she needed to see. I had been bleeding for two weeks, heavy with lots of clots, and I called them chunks. (To me it looked like body tissue). My doctor had me go for an ultra sound Apr. 23. bled heavy there, too. My pap came back normal. Went back to my primary care doctor on May 2, found out I had a cyst on right ovary, and thickening of uterine lining. Dr.'s office set up an appointment with Gynocologist for biopsy and possible D&C. Saw gyn. on May 7, she did a biopsy, and gave me a prescription for progestrone, to stop my bleeding. Took progestron for 7 days, and bleeding did stop. The gyn called to let me know that I had Endometrial Hyperplasia, atypia. She mentioned that is was aggresive, and recommended a total hysterectomy. She had her office set up a date for surgery. Went into hospital on June 24, had a total abdominal hysterectomy. Came home of June 26. Recovery is going well.
I went for my one month check up, July 24, and my gyn/doctor told me that cancer cells were found in my uterus. The cancer had not penetrated the uterine wall, so she is confident, it did not spread. Hearing that "C" word, was like getting hit in the face.
My doctor seems to think I have enough estrogen stored, that I won't need hrt(wouldn't go on it now, anyway). Too much estrogen is what caused me to need the hysterectomy. I'm overweight (most of my life), diabetic( type 2, 9 years), and hypertensive (been on meds over 20 yrs.). The doctor explained that fat cells store low grade estrogen. That estrogen, the hypertension, diabetes, and weight all contributed to Endometrial Hyperplasia, severe atypia.
