28 years old. Scheduled for hysterectomy. Many questions! HELP!

hello all, I am new here as well.. I go Monday for my consult and bloodwork.. starting to get VERY scared.. I am only 28 with three children as well 10,6, and 14 months....the youngest is what has me worried....I am trying to wean him and so far with not much luck...My problem is that hubby doesnt hear the baby at nite and I will be in the hospital so how is he going to get the baby while i am away? I am worried about pain, but my kids have me most concerned. I know I need to just relax and let people help but I am used to being the one who handles everything...

I've pretty much weaned Grace down to one/two feedings a day. It makes me very sad. But... I have to look at the positive; at least I got to nurse her for fourteen months!

28 years old. Scheduled for hysterectomy. Many questions! HELP!

Hi, there! I just turned 29 and had a TAH 13 days later .. I am now 10 days post op and doing relatively well.. I have a 10 yr old and 3 yr old... My hubby was seemingly not too supportive going into it.. He thought I was all doom and gloom nad over-reacting, etc.. But after being in the hospital and having to stay for a post op infection, he has been on his best behavior.. Now, he isn't Mr. Mom, but he has really made sure I don't overdo it and he took that week off to take care of the kids (and they all had the flu!!) So, you see, he'll come around when it's time Try to relax and prepare yourself and everything else will fall into place! Best wishes!!

28 years old. Scheduled for hysterectomy. Many questions! HELP!

I have 2 sons-6 and 2 and I am worried how the 2 year old is going to be. My DH, on the other hand, is being just great. He already helps around the house because I attend college full time, so he can cook simple meals. I don't know about breastfeeding, bottlefed both of mine. My youngest is just very attached and he worries me about how well he's going to be while I'm in the hospital.

BTW I am only 33 so I understand how your feeling. My hyst is scheduled for 12/26 and I have been having a hard time with the waiting, if you can get through that I think everything will be okay.

Good Luck to you.

men?

Feel for you
I also have a husband who can be less than supportive at times
This has been a long and expensive road filled with GP's and specialists, scans, tests, ultrasounds, hormone therapy, anti-depressant medication weight loss, weight gain and 9 months ago my hubby left
Couldn't ride the rollercoaster anymore!!
Have finally found a gyno who sees the light and am waiting for the surgical bookings staff at the district hospital (have no insurance since hubby left) to return from their Christmas break and give me a date
Hoping for Jan but realistically maybe Feb is more like it

Also hoping that the new post-op me will bring him back
