Another Princess back from the Castle!!

Hello eveyone !!

My TAH/BSO was Thursday morning and I came home Sunday evening. Alive and well.

It is true... the waiting is the hardest part. Also the 2nd day gas !! Walk....walk....walk and get them to give you suppository and good old prune juice. Dr. said it is typical for about 24 hours in duration due to the trauma of intestines and the drugs stopping the digestive system. This was the worst!!

Keep up with the pain pills.... take them on time... don't try to be brave.... pain is easiest managed with constant medicine. I am on 600mg Ibuprofen only. Can't really tolerate pain meds ....makes my stomach sick. And it is enough to manage the pain. I am amazed it is not worse.

Each day I feel a little better... and so it goes.

The waiting really was the worst part!

OlympicStar ...... the new princess~

Thanks for letting us know how things went and are going for you.
So glad you are back from the castle,
Good luck with your recovery.
I appreciate all of your advice and I will be sure to put prune juice on my list of things to have.
It is so nice to hear that it went well. It helps put me a little bit more at ease.
Get lots of rest

Looking forward to hearing from you again when you are rested!

Another Princess back from the Castle!!

Glad you're back! Thanks for the tips, especially the prune juice. My doc today said that they plan to put my intestines to sleep, too.
