cramping?

Today I am full of issues.
Anyone feeling menstrual-like cramping?
It might be my bladder, but I'm not sure what's up.
They took my ovaries so I don't think it's anything related to mensies, but it sure feels the same.
Hope this doesn't sound silly to ask.

Re: cramping?

Most of the pain I had in the first couple weeks felt like menstrual cramping to me. Is the pain completely different than what you'd been feeling?

Then I think it's completely normal. Not fun, but normal

Re: cramping?

That is what mine feel like too! From when I woke up after the LAVH it felt like really bad cramps. I also feel pain where my ovaries used to be, then I realized, that is where 2 of the small incisions are. I told my DH I hope it's not phantom pains.

Re: cramping?

I felt the cramping right after surgery (menstral-like cramps).

As of now, it seems when I am up and moving a lot (which I have increased over the past week), I feel slight crampy-achiness in my abdomen. Ibuprofen has relieved it.

I hope you feel better!

Re: cramping?

They're not menstrual cramps. They're not phantom pains. They're not. They're not. They're NOT!!!!!

For me, they're a whole lot less than cramps ever were, but I'm getting really tired of the one side hurting.

Of course, it'd probably hurt less if I stayed on the pain pill schedule. *SIGH*

Re: cramping?

I was surprised to wake up from surgery with horrible cramping. I thought that was over! I told the nurse and she laughed and said that a lot of people have described the pain that way, but she had no explanation for it. I had to laugh too. Go figure.

Re: cramping?

Oh. I have the "phantom ovary" pain too! Thought I was going nuts! Glad to know it's common. I feel basically like I've had a bad period for two solid weeks now. But, it's still not as bad as before.
