8 weeks post-op feeling SUPER achy!

Hi ladies,

I am 8 weeks post-op from an emergency TAH/BSO, and appendectomy. I'm only 32 (with no children) and my awesome doc has started me on Estrogen replacement about 2+ weeks ago. And I'm also having some super low Anemia so that is contributing to low energy/some dizziness, so Dr has me on Iron as well (anemia due to craptastic Endo before surgery, and loss of blood during surgery).

So other than that, I'm actually feeling pretty well, and am feeling like the healing process is progressing.

My issue the last week or so, is that I am feeling achy all over my body (but mostly in core muscles, and legs). Kind of like that super deep icky feeling when you have the flu, but I don't have the flu. It's SO uncomfortable that it makes you feel just restless, and frustrated. Even when I'm sitting, standing, or trying to sleep. Have any of you had this issue, and know what it is from?

I'm wondering if it's my hormones readjusting (I haven't been sleeping well, and Dr said that was the hormones, which was right when we started that therapy)? Or if it's something else?

Thanks for your help ladies!

Re: 8 weeks post-op feeling SUPER achy!

It takes a while for hormones to balance out. Keep in touch with your doctor and let him or her know how you are feeling. Your hrt will probably need to be adjusted and/or changed. Good luck with the rest of your recovery.
