Re: undecided

What kind of cysts do you have? Are you seeing a regular gyn or a gyn oncologist? My doc, a gyn oncologist suggested hysterectomy to me but agreed to try conservative treatment again. I have had Dermoid ovarian cysts removed twice now on both ovaries

Re: undecided

I know how you feel about everything falling apart with your health . I had a stroke at 28. A second opinion could real y be valuable in your situation.

Re: undecided

Renee,

Hang in there. The only thing I can really say about the 2nd opinion in my case was it was truly the best advice I have taken so far on my journey. I am absolutely thrilled I finally went. I was tired of being poked and prodded, tired of all the information, tired of it all....someone posted on here to get a second opinion and I was scared for some reason. How to do it....where to find a doc etc. ......It was the best decision.

Check around with friends of friends. See if you can get a referral through them. I was in the midst of doing that and researching the internet with the couple of names I got and ended up coming across a specialist (which wasn't even one of the names) I absolutely found the right doc for me.

I strongly urge you to start keeping track of your appts. symptoms, procedures and outcomes. I use a little pocket calender. It has been very useful....because everyone needs the same information each time you go.

It will also help you sort through the mounds of information you are getting.

Hang in there.
