date for D&C and hysteroscopy

I saw my gyno yesterday and she has booked me for day surgery next week to see what is causing my bleeding and check out the fibroid that showed up in the scan. It also showed a thickened endometrium for a post menopausal woman. My husband is getting a new hip two days later. The Dr was lovely but I can't help but feel a little bit scared of what she might find. Usually my life is very calm and predictable but at present it is all over the place with hubby and my issues and there's a couple of other health problems with two of my kids who don't need to be further stressed either. I'm usually a "glass half full person" and I'm sure everything will turn out well but I just have to get to two or three weeks down the track to know what I'm dealing with. Glad to have this site to come to for information and support from other women who've been there first. Now to go to work and let them know that I only have four more days to train my replacement not six.
