The wait is over
Surgery was postponed until June 22, but on Tuesday the Dr called and said he could do it on Wednesday. I'm home and feel great. It was a total LAVH and everything came back as benign. He gave me a stomach binder so I can move around with very little pain, and there is very little bleeding. I was on the table by 12:30 on Wednesday and got to come home about 7 Thursday night. They started hormones immediately, so hopefully that will prevent any menopausal symptoms. My throat hurts a little from the breathing tube as well as my neck.
I realize I've been very lucky, but I hope that others have some of the same luck. Ask for that stomach binder....it's a godsend.
