Gas ???

I had a LAVH Feb 14th. Everything went well and I went home on the 15th. I was feeling pretty good for about 4 days, then it's was like everything fell apart. I got diarreha, which was completely black. I went to see the surgeron, he told be that I was bleeding from my stomach from the ibproven. I couldn't take the other pain meds that he gave me, toradol, they made me sick to my stomach. I'm now taking extra strengh tyenol. Seems to be working for the pain. Then on Monday night I started to vomit...vomitted for 2 days. I felt like I was going to die. Anyways this is over with and I am on my way to recovery....I hope so anyways. I now have gas problems. It feels like there is an arcade game going on in my lower abdoman. Sometimes it hurts really bad, doubles me over. Is this normal? I don't get anything out of my surgeron. Thank God for this web site. If any one has any ideas, lets me know. Thanks.

Gas ???

I used Gas X after my hysterectomy. It was my best friend. Worked real well for me. I am now taking it again because I just had gall bladder surgery. Give it a try. It certainly can't hurt. I will be taking it faithfully for awhile now. Hope it helps !!

Gas ???

Sorry you're going through this....
I had a LAVH-BSO on 2-17. I didn't have the runs or vomiting. Some of that could be from the anesthesia, too. I always request something for the nausea (zofran?) from the anesthesiologist. But YES, I had horrible gas pains on day 3 & 4. Terrible rumblings in my belly. My DR told me that is normal. Then I had some constipation, so I made the mistake of taking stool softeners AND prune juice all in the same day. Mental note - don't EVER do that again

I hope it clears up for you soon & you can get back to recovering.
