Last Lupron shot and appt. before LSH

Well glad to have this part over. At least I have an inkling what menopause will be like. Gotta love the headaches and hot flashes...LOL.. I guess it helps me keep warm when it's cold out. You know something is off when you think 17 deg. is refreshing...LOL!

After my shot I spoke with my doc. I mentioned that I had been on here and it's helped with a lot of my questions. Anyhow I asked if he cauterizes the cervix and he says he does the best he can, but if I have spotting afterwards he can go "up" there and apply some silver nitrate. Talked a little about my noctural urination since starting Lupron. He says we'll investigate if it continues to be an issue after the Lupron wears off. He says it could be interstitial cystitis. I also asked what the odds were he wouldn't be able to perform this laparascopically and he said he won't know until he sees my belly. Depends how many adhesions I have from previous c/s and if my uterus has shrunk from the Lupron. He had said before that I'd be in the hospital anywhere from 6-23 hrs. post-op. I asked about this again and he said not to worry we'll take as long as we need. I'm leaning towards an overnight stay just for pain management. Also give me a little time to recover since I have a hyper dog and 3 kids at home. Also told him to not give me Demerol since it doesn't work. He said remind him the day of surgery and he can give me morphine instead.

Well now I am just ready to be done with this. 30 days and counting. At least I have no periods while I'm waiting. It's wonderful to not have to deal with pads and tampons. I said I was going to have a tampon/pad burning party, but I might as well stash them away since I have 3 daughters..LOL!

Just want to say hi and hope your 30 days and counting go well. I did 6 of those shots, and the months of waiting were driving me nuts. But now that surgery is scheduled (hopefully LSH but may be converted to abdominal) I've started obsessing about that. I think I'd happily take another one of those big needles and another month of side effects...
