Anemia question

Hello,

Hoping for some understanding from someone who has had this. I have been in and out of anemia and I am confused about it.

I'll try to be brief. Basically , sometimes my iron stores and indices ....the MCH,MCHC,MCV and serum iron , saturation and TIBC are low and the Hemoglobin and hematocrit are FINE.

Then sometimes, my Hemoglobin and Hematocrit, Ferritin and MCV are low and my iron and sat , and TIBC are ok .

What gives ? The iron is normal but the hemoglobin and hematocrit are low ?? The next time , they are fine and the iron is low !! ??? The doctors will not explain this to me.

Does anyone else know ?
