Re: Scheduled surgery November 14
I have 5 beautiful children-17,15,12,4 and 3. I actually planned the surgery for when they'd be home so I wouldn't have to drive them to school and so they could be around to help! Lol ! Just make sure you get your rest !

Re: Scheduled surgery November 14
I'm ready! eating my "last meal" lol in about an hour- jello is made and waiting! I just took 2 fiber gummies to move things along. Thankful that I don't need bowel prep- just liquid diet til midnite than nothing. I'm really anxious! Went to our church this morning and that helped a lot. I'm still getting anxious though. Saying prayers for all my sisters who go in tomorrow ! Hugs

Ok I'm now sick to my stomach from too much jello! Getting nervous! Going to bed really early because I have to be up at 4:30am - hospital at 5:30 for 7:30am surgery. Good luck to all the sisters going to the castle tomorrow! Hugs.

Re: Scheduled surgery November 14
I am hanging in there not real thrilled with this. I was able to have breakfast but only liquid the rest of the day. It is 3:20pm in Cali and I am dreading my tasty (NOT) cocktail awaitng me in the frig at 6:00pm. Been pretty grumpy all day. Did go to church and a few women pray with me. That was nice! I have to be at the hospital at 10am for a 1pm surgery time. I wish it was earlier, not having food very much for the last 2 weeks, the doctor thinks I might have a hernia on top of it all. Not looking forward to the hot flashes that will follow and the Dr. told me that I will just have to deal with them that they can't give me anything due to the Lobular Carcinoma I had in march. UGH!!!!!Sorry for sounding so yucky. I guess reality is that I just want this whole thing over!!!!!! Been a long year already.

Re: Scheduled surgery November 14
I started my bowel prep at 10 am. Drank chicken broth, tea, and apple juice all day. I stayed home while my family drove to pick up my mom at the airport. I watched a sermon on International House of Prayer this morning. I did 5 loads of laundry today to keep busy and keep my mind off of my stomach. I already downloaded several books for my Kindle. Keeping the reading easy. :-) I honestly feel pretty good. Totally dreading the fasting in the morning, but I am making the determination that I will not allow how I am feeling rule my attitude.
Praying for everyone! So ready to have this done so I can start a new chapter in my life!

Re: Scheduled surgery November 14
I've been drinking chicken broth, white grape juice and yellow Gatorade all day. I feel ok, but I have a terrible headache. I think it's from no caffeine today! I have to be at the castle at 11:45, which seems so late. I'm tired and ready to go to bed but I feel like I should stay up and keep drinking to stay hydrated. What should I do?
Good luck my sisters, I'll be thinking of you.
xoxo

Re: Scheduled surgery November 14
Get to sleep! You need your rest to heal after surgery. I was fine until my husband decided to start an argument with me the night before my surgery. I'm really disgusted with the total lack of support I have from him. I'm at one of my lowest moments right now- I may have cancer- and he's being a total *******. I'm going to go to sleep because I won't have to deal with it then. Good luck to you! Hugs!
