I just got off the phone, scheduling my hyster for Feb 26. It felt liberating, though I know I may be in for a roller coaster of emotions waiting for the next 3 1/2 weeks. This has been a decision 3 years in the making, so I'm ready.
This has been a time of spiritual exploration and emotional clearing.
My fibroids, anemia and cycles have stolen my energy and vitality for far too long. I'm a believer in all things holistic and that things truly happen for a reason. I've tried everything from acupuncture to dietary changes, medical intuition and everything in between, but my three fibroids (14 cm, 8cm and 6 cm) have taken over. My uterus goes all the way up to belly button and having my hysterectomy is about letting go and yet taking control back of my life at the very same time.
The next 23 days will be about empowerment. I will eat cleanly and bolster the support around me, create ritual around surgery, schedule a Medical QiGong pre-surgery clearing, continue with therapy, EFT tapping and acupuncture to manage my anxiety around the first surgical intervention of my life.
I've been reading posts on here for years and am infinitely grateful for everyone's support. It's one thing to be on an individual journey, it's another entirely to use your journey to benefit others

emotionally, even though it is solving a problem. Everyone prepares for this surgery in their own way. I am glad you have a sound plan and approach that works for you.
