severe intermittent lower right side pain

Help! 11 Days post-op LAVH with ovary removal. Was doing fine and off of pain pills, but now have a severe intermittent lower right sided pain that comes and goes all day and night. Any idea what could be causing the problem? Incision from the outside looks good, no problems going to the bathroom. It doesn't seem to matter was position I lie in the pain just comes and goes.

If it's new or more severe than you were experiencing before -- then a visit to the doctor is in order, so I would call right away in the morning.

If it's really bad right now -- head to the ER. You could be experiencing something which needs immediate attention, but there's no way to know unless you're checked out. Let us know what happens, OK?

I had pain in both the left and right side during recovery. It wasn't severe but I definetly knew it was there. I kept both my ovaries and put it to them waking up. It could possibly be "healing" where your ovary was.

If it is severe, you should call the doctor. Not to scare you but a stitch could have come loose or they could tell you that it's normal. Better to be safe than sorry.
