TAH 9 weeks post op...

This week is starting my 9th week...had TAH BSO with lymph node disection on 11/14/2012. I felt pretty even with emotions, but today, feel a little teary. Think I have a cold starting which doesnt help. Having some night sweats, and have been trying evening primrose oil, yoga, and got some bed sheets made with Outlast material. THe sheets are interesting, cool. A little too cool when you first get in...but you do adjust. I still throw the covers off once or twice a night, but at least have not come to full awakenness. I think there are good days, bad days. Still tired from work, but working out each morning, treadmill and yoga. I think we all just need to expect that everything will just take time. My eyes were really dry at first, which I found is fairly common. I added Vit E, ground flax seed and fish oil, and my eyes seem to be balancing out. So I think your body will compensate , in time, for the loss of hormones. I believe that I was peri menopausal prior to hyst, but that the BC pills masked it to a degree. Hang in there....
