Doing too much & depressed
HI Everyone!
I had my uteris, cerviz, & right ovary removed on 7-26-05 due to adenmyosis, endometriosis, fibriods, and constant bleeding since by 8 month old was born via c-section. I also have a 23 month old, a husband who works 11 hours a day and no family around. I feel like a mess right now. I'm angry, moody, and cry all the time. I'm scared I'm hurting myself by caring for my little ones (lifting ect) but I have to do what I have to do. My dh thinks because I'm a little over 4 weeks out that I'm ok and gives me attitude when I ask for any help with the kids. I am so over stressed and still in pain all over and I don't know what to do. Depression is getting the better of me and I just wish my dh would show some more love and support. I'm scared about adhesions too and was wondering if driving and lifting babies can cause them.

Doing too much & depressed
You need to have a nice talk with DH about your fears and worrys. Depression isn't something to mess around with, and i'd be calling the DR to see if he can help. If you are in a lot of pain, that's your bodies way of telling you that you are overdoing it. Do you have any friends there who can help you out? You shouldn't be doing all that by yourself right now.
Many hugz to ya sister!

Silly boys I swear, men just don't get it. Your hubby is expecting way too much of you right now. Yeah, you've got 2 little ones and a husband and a household to take care of... BUT no one should expect you to take care of it ALL at this point.
Ok, he works 11 hrs a day ~ so. How many hrs a day do you work, 2 very young babies, laundry, cooking, diapers, dishes, etc. I'm sure if you were to add up your hours, your work day is longer than his. How bout them apples

Doing too much & depressed
Is ther any way you could go visit some of your family for a week or so and maybe would be able to get some help that way. Years ago I had appendectomy and had a 2 year old and I had to go stay at my parents for 10 days. And healing from that was nothing compared to this. If not I would try to hire a young person to come in some of the time and help with kids. I've heard adhesions can be painful for years. Good Luck. Peggy

Doing too much & depressed
Thanks for all your support. We live in Alaska and all of our family lives out of state. Unfortunetly I can't go visit because we're trying to close on a house and finances don't permit. My mom was going to come up here but 3 days prior my young nephew who she cares for broke his arm and had to have surgery I need to call my doc, I know, but you all know how it is when you're down~~you feel like no one gives a darn... We have some friends that have stopped by now & then to help, but most of them don't live too close plus they work & have their own families... My dh is just thinking that it's been 4 weeks so I should be better. Well, driving and lifting the babies has NOT been helping me heal and I don't want to complain about how exhausted or hurt I am because I know he gets tired , or just doesn't want to hear about it. Sorry, I'm just letting it all out now. It's almost 4 am and I haven't slept at all. Hubby works in the am and the babies will be up soon. Thanks again for all your support

My heart goes out to you from way over here on the east coast! Have you tried any sleep aids? Tylenol PM or call your doc for something? I only had to take them for about one week. Loss of sleep can cause all sorts of trouble with moods, etc. Put yourself first. numero uno. Call your doc. I took Wellburtrin before and after surgery for a while. You are not alone and we all care. Post anytime. A sister will be there.

If your can afford it how about some day help. Not necessarily for the babies, but to clean. Have them come in while DH is at work. You'll feel better one less thing you have to worry about. Or even pay for help with the kids. Healing is what's important.
