Best wishes at the castle tomorrow.
Yes, nerves do seem to be a big part of this surgery. Waiting is very often the hardest part of it all.
Since this is your last day pre op , you should be able to stop smoking again pretty easily ( I know, that's spoken just like a non smoker ).
Please let us know how you are when you can.

I just wanted to add a couple more 's, and to tell you that I am also an ex-smoker, and came very close to doing the same thing a couple of days before my surgery. You'll probably be able to quit again, easily, especially since you won't be able to smoke in the castle.

You'll be in my thoughts and prayers.

If I smoked I'd have smoked a carton by now! I used to be a fingernail chewer and the only thing that stops me now is that I worry someone in surgery will notice nubby, ugly fingers if I started chewing them now...they'd be bleeding at the quicks! I can't remember when I've been so anxiety ridden.

My stomach is about to come unglued, I feel really like ing; and kept waking up ALL night wondering if my symptoms calling for the TAH are really just "in my head" and not REALLY as bad as to need to have this done tomorrow! I am making up rationalizations to call it off!

I keep finding myself needing to "gulp air" and sighing regularily! This is nuts. I want to RUN AWAY!

I need stablizing quick. Do you think it would be OK to drink some wine until midnight?

LOL, Nerves????? Yep!!

My scheduled TVH is Weds. afternoon. Lemme tell you ........ one might think I'm on PMS which I'm NOT!!!! Finally we had to put the schoolbooks away b/c I couldn't concentrate and every question my kids asked me about their schoolwork sounded (shame on me) STUPID. After asking the boys "Can't you READ THE DIRECTIONS???????" My hubby said now would be a good time to put the books away and start picking up the house. Um, that was at 10 a.m. LOL

O well.

Things got better after that, everyone was busy and no one was pestering me. What kind of preps did your docs have you doing the day before your castle visit, ladies?

Mine has me on a liquid diet and then after 'dinner' LOL I'm to use a couple of enemas........ Woo HOO. Looked at the picture on the back of the box and starting laughing almost hysterically! My Mom assured me I didn't need to use THAT position! Thank God!!

So, I'm off to enjoy some yummy broth.................... Yep, I can relate to the nervous ones. Not sure why, I guess the question I'd like any post hyst. to answer is about the pain when it's done vaginally. Is it much worse than a vaginal birth delivery?

Hmmmmmm on a humorous note: I asked dh before he left for work today if he wanted one more roll in the hay before I returned a changed woman this weekend. LOL

HUGS to all!

Hi, I am new here, but I agree with everyone else, the waiting is just so hard. Lucky for me I have only known about my surgery date, for the past month. I knew I was getting the surgery (TVH), but was waiting to hear from insurance and then I had asked if it could wait until school is over at the college I work, but who would have guessed it would be the beginning of June!! These next two and ˝ weeks is going to drive me nuts and I really need to concentrate at what I am doing here at work, considering I am trying to tie up all that would get done, while I am not here. My thoughts are with those who are going soon!
