Doing Great

I had my surgery on Monday 12/11. I had a LAVH and TVT. They left both of my ovaries and removed my right fallopian tube due to having cysts in it. They took the catheter out Tuesday morning and all of my packing (which I thought would never end...must have been packed to my ears!!). Anyway, about four hours after my cathater was removed I had the urge that I had to pee and I did it!!! They cathed me immediately after that to make sure I was not retaining any urine and I wasn't. I came home Tuesday afternoon and I feel great. I take my pain pills before bed and of a morning. During the day I might take a couple of Motrin but that is it. Not as bad as I was anticipating.

Welcome home! Sounds like you're doing great. Take it easy and be sure to drink lots of water. It helps with bowel movements and is generally good for you. Walk around the house as you feel up to it.
