I am scheduled for LH on Sept 27th. The lapro procedure I am having is supposed to help the physicians see everything clearly (camera use) and determine once they are in there what needs to come out besides the uterus. They are considering taking out the left ovary as that is a form of pain I have had for years, I have also had a great deal of pain lately because of a fibroid pressing on my bladder. The last six months have fizzled. I finally gave in and registered on this site as the reality is setting in that I cannot beat this mentally. I am usually such an active person and having a hard time being side lined. I guess it is time to get support. I read on another thread that someone else couldn't weed their garden without pain and I realized that I wasn't alone and that something so simple could be hard on women in this situation. I am now pouring over this site and getting informed. Any direction or advice would be helpful. Thanks.

Hi There and Welcome

I was a lurker at this site for quite sometime before I signed on. I've found some great advise and support. I know you will to.
I finally had my hysterectomy the belly smile way and I am so glad I did. I've suffered for years because of fibroids, (2 lbs worth)putting so much pressure on the bladder and bowels. It just sucked the life right out of me. I really wish now I didn't wait so long.
I own by own business and it was so difficult for me to be out of commission, I let so many things slide. Now, I am feeling like I have more energy. More normal if there is such a thing

Hang in there, I just know things will get better

The last six months have fizzled as things came to a head medically and had to be dealt with. I am scheduled for LH on Sept 27th. I finally gave in and registered on this site as the reality is setting in. I am usually such an active person and having a hard time being side-lined. I guess it is time to get support and also give support. I read on another thread that someone else couldn't weed their garden without pain and I realized that I wasn't alone and that something we would otherwise consider so simple could be hard on women in this situation. I am now pouring over this site and getting informed and trying to get motivated to get through it. I'm glad this site is available.

Wow, thanks for responding so quickly. I was also a business owner and understand that kind of pressure. I am amazed at how soon after your proceedure, you have more energy. That's great news and very inspiring.

My energy level really didn't kick in until the last 2 weeks and increasing as days go by. Yeah for me
And of course I did to much to soon and had to pay the piper. I decided I had to listen to my body and rest. Keep me posted and let me know how your doing.
