Day 10 post total hysterectomy & BSO: Feeling very anxious

Hello I am heading into my 10th day of recovery from my TAH. I was doing well until last two days now I feel achy, low grade fever, hot flashes and night sweats and depression. Kinda like a round with Mike Tyson haha. Since I have no ovaries I must be going into menopause symptoms fast, faster than I thought possible! Trying to keep positive and hopefully I can reach my doctor today for help with HRT suggestions.

Did anyone else get who wanted HRT receive their prescription before leaving the hospital?

Just to let you know I had a total abdominal hysterectomy and I was the same, it does get better. I'm 10 weeks post op now and I didn't have hrt I just used evening primrose oil and other vitamins. So don't worry you are getting there good luck xx

Day 21 and feeling very good. I still get sore from over doing it and a bit of constipation but otherwise once I went on HRT I am a million times better. May this message bring hope to anyone suffering as I did in the early days! Much love xoxo
