Three days after TAH

First of all thank you for all your postings, gave me an overview on what to expect.
My surgery was on Friday August 17, first thing in the morning.
They discharge me yesterday (Sunday) in the evening. Thankfully I not in too much pain, only the day of the surgery, when they gave me heavy painkillers, which were so bad to my stomach, I felt so nauseous.
Anyway I'm waiting to get my BM as only gas had pass...getting anxious about it.

Congrats on making it to the other side! I had my surgery in Friday too and no bm either. It'll happen soon enough I figure. Lol. Hopefully we can check that off our list soon.

Littlewhitecat welcome and Congratulations on a successful surgery. Try not to get too anxious about the BM. I had a TAH in March and I didn't have a BM until 2 days after I was discharged, whianch was day 5. Drink plenty of water, eat foods with a lot of fiber, or maybe prune juice (if you like it) to move it along. Be patient it'll happen. I pray that you have a successful recovery

I was six days post op before I had my 1st BM And it was only 4 little rocks , my next BM was 3 days after that and it was a little better.
