3 days Post-Op - NO discharge ... strange?

Hi,
I had a TLH 3-days ago. My pain is very manageable. I'm walking around well but my tummy is enormous. I haven't had a bowel movement yet, the gas is better today.

I have one concern. I have no discharge. My pads are totally clean and even after going to the bathroom there's nothing.

Is that strange? I thought I'd have minor discharge for a couple weeks at least. It had stopped in hospital (i.e. within 24-hours). Am I worrying for nothing?

dizeedoo, I, too had no discharge. I'm now 7 weeks out, and with the exception of a few sutures falling out, there's been nothing. You might have a discharge in a couple of weeks as your sutures dissolve, or you might have nothing. Either way is normal.

Thanks Nancy,
I read about the discharge that can occur as the sutures dissolve. I guess I should just count my blessings. I'm doing really well.

I also did not have any discharge. Just thought it was about time that something went easy!

I had no discharge and never saw a stitch. So I don't think you're abnormal. Count your blessings that you're not having to deal with that too. I hope you have a BM soon, because when I did, it made me feel better afterward.

Thanks for all your replies.
I can't believe how "easy" my recovery is going.
I had a BM today and I feel even better.
Have been on my first proper outside walk and feel good.

I feel 1,000 times better than I did before surgery. My doc called today and said all the labs on the uterus and fibroids were clear and good. I can't believe 2-yrs of pain and discomfort "seem" to be over.
yay!!!
