Oh, (((sister))) I'm so sorry you're having pain again.
I had a large hematoma which wasn't diagnosed until I was 7 months post-op, and we waited and watched to see if it would reabsorb for 5 months. It didn't.
Then I finally had surgery to remove the hematoma capsule. And since then, I have to be honest and say the pain is still with me. So I know a little of what you're going through.
It is so frustrating to go through all of this and still be so uncomfortable. Sometimes it can take a long time to get in at a pain clinic (if that's the route you and your
decide is best), hopefully if you put your name on the cancellation list, you might get in sooner if someone else can't make their own appointment.
I'm glad you're taking the steps you can to try and get some relief in the meantime, but if you end up with a pain specialist, they will hopefully be able to pinpoint your pain and get it treated properly.
I see a pain specialist for a condition unrelated to my hysterectomy, and it is so nice not to be doubted and to get appropriate treatment. I am not pain-free (and probably will never be) but at least now I have the tools and medications which allow me to function at a higher level than before.
My best to you. Please keep us posted.
