My Acessa Experience

I know I've never posted here but I wanted to share my experience after just leaving my Acessa follow up appt.

I just came home from my 6 month follow up after having Acessa in October. I'm 34 with no children and Acessa seemed to be the best option to preserve my fertility. My main symptom was heavy bleeding for three years, so bad that I would lay a trash bag under me just so I could sleep through the night with less worry. 3 months after Acessa I was back to a normal period schedule of 5-7 days however they're still very heavy. My fear of leaving the house without a "diaper" on has been gone ever since (I still can't escape at least a mini pad out of fear). My largest fibroid was 7 cm and today it measured at 4.2 cm. As I understand they will continue to shrink, so hopefully come October I can have a better outcome.

My surgery experience was very easy, the procedure took the doctor 3 hours once I was in the operating room and I went home that evening. The next day I was drowsy and didn't move around much but the second day I showered and did just little movements in the house, by the third day I went shopping (slowly). Those three days of discomfort have really given me a better quality of life, I can bike and hike without the fear of worrying how far I am from a bathroom.

I'm very excited about my outcome and would be happy to answer any questions anyone may have. It's definitely hard to find info online that is not provided by Halt Medical.
