Husband "bumping" into something?

So, libido is improving slowly but intercourse is becoming somewhat painful. My husband seems to "bump" into something and it is very painful. I have read a lot of posts and seen a couple of references to vaginal cuff issues. Is that what I'm feeling? It is really hampering our favorite forms of interaction.

Husband "bumping" into something?

Hi Are you using any form of vaginal estrogen to keep the vagina stretchy and moist? If not, intercourse could become painful. I'd suggest talking with your DR about this and having it checked to make sure you don't have any long-term healing issues with the cuff, and get on some vaginal estrogen (Vagifem is a great product) to see if that will help.

Husband "bumping" into something?

Hi
I have the same problem. We have to be create with positions, yet penetration is only about half what it used to be. I am using estrogen tabs. . and am hoping more time will change things. It's been about six months.[i]

Husband "bumping" into something?

Thanks for the replies. My doctor said I was all set with hormones and doesn't plan to see me for a year. *sigh* I really don't feel good like he promised I would. My husband is totally behind me so that helps. I, too, am at 6 months out.

Everything else with intercourse isn't painful at all so I hesitate to take something to make me MORE stretchy...I am not tight at ALL. My husband just can't go deep with any force at all. I miss having that occasionally. it doesn't seem to be an elasticity problem, just something in the way. What is Vagifem for exactly?

Vagifem is a tiny estrogen tablet which is for the treatment of vaginal dryness/atrophy. The estrogen stays local (in the vaginal tissues) helping to keep them moist and elastic.

If you feel like there's something in the way, get an appointment with your doctor to be checked. It's possible, for example, that an adhesion has formed.

Let us know what the doctor says, okay?
