I thought I would escape a last period, but NO - I got it 4 days prior. It had to stick it to me once more time! But no big deal. I just had to avoid the motrin. It was good though. It made me want to get it done that much more.....

My period started, in so much pain

I had been period free for best part of a year due to injections to stop them. They only went and wore off just before op and my first period in a year arrived day before my hysterectomy and I had to wear pad due to very heavy flow. It was infuriating, but in a way I looked on it positively, as it reminded me that I definitely wanted to go ahead with the op and it was wonderful going into theatre with a heavy period and coming out with nothing much more than a light bleed. You are naturally fed up and a lot of what you are feeling is probably pre-op nerves. Don't worry, it will soon be over and you will feel so much better really quickly and far more able to tackle all the jobs you need to do, though obviously not straight away. Best of luck, it is all worth it.

Thanks everyone. The support I feel from you all is so uplifting. I really appreciate it. Didn't sleep much last night because of the pain, but I just keep saying to myself, it's almost over. LOL
