10 days post hysterectomy - I did not behave!
Hi there! I'm 10 days post op davinci with removal of tubes, ovaries and cervix. Been feeling better than expected. I've even been using the mop slowly and carefully doing laundry. Not lifting anything heavy, tho. Nurse practitioner that took out stitches on day 7 said everything looked good and pathology was showed no abnormal cells. She put steri strips over four holes and noted that there was a little oozing at belly button one, no problem though. Steri strips there came loose within a day (Saturday) so dabbed with peroxide & put new steri strips on,. That was a trial, considering the area, swelly belly, etc. Well tonight I noticed that the steri strip was almost off adjoining the one changed on belly button. Found a pencil eraser size hole. Don't know if that's normal or not. I cleaned belly button wound again with peroxide and put some fresh steri strips on.
Now I'm worried I over did it. Buth
others at work say they were back doing things sooner after major abdominal surgeried, than mentioned on this site. Plan on calling Doc tomorrow morning. Any advice?
