pain on left side..anyone have this

I am two weeks tommorrow post op. I have a lot of pain on my left side of stomach and upper left leg(back of leg). Yesterday came down with a slight fever but now it is gone. My head feels a little fuzzy today. I am off my tylenol with codaine due to severe constipation. I am now taking extra strength tylenol. Is this normal to feel pain on left side? How can I help make it better? If you had this what did you do to help make the pain go away?

What type of surgery did you have? I had LSH and they took everything out of the left side, so that side was more sore from all the tugging they did over there. Just a thought. Not sure about your leg though.

I had an abdomin hysterectomy. Removed uterus and cervix

i had an abdominal hyst. and bso...but for somereason more of the pain i feel is on the left side.

I had the left sided pain as well. Had an LSH and everything was sucked out of that hole. I think I also had pain though because my doc popped a cyst on my left ovary. Call the docs and ask if they did any extras there. If you have a fever I'd def. call anyway. Hope you feel better soon. If it's just normal pain, not an infection it should subside in another 2 weeks or so.

Hi JaneJane, I too had a TAH, but kept my ovaries. I too have a little discomfort on the left side, but not painful. It is not as bad as last week. I dunno what it could be. My swelly belly is a little bit more swollen on the left than the right too. Just a little. The last three days, I have been getting out and walking at the Mall and Wally-World, taking it easy but moving.

I would definitely call the doc if you are having a fever and it is severe pain and not discomfort.
