TVH or TAH 4 days and counting....

Just got back from my TVH pre surgery consult and I must say, I thought I was doing pretty good up til then. Hadn't had time to freak out too much... surgery is Wednesday. Pretty comfortable with my decision.
Dr had said he'd leave the ovaries unless endo was present and he wouldn't know that until he got in there. I want to keep ovaries if possible. I'm only 44 and don't want to mess with hormones if I don't have to.
So I'm preparing mentally for a TVH and now I'm signing paperwork for the TVH as well as the TAH and Bilateral Salpingo Oophorectomy. I know it's probably just standard procedure, but I guess I hadn't prepared myself for that. All of a sudden I feel out of control and a little scared. What am I going to wake up to? Maybe it wont be such a terrible thing to be rid of the ovaries if it comes to that? I've been prone to hormonal type acne that seems to be worse around 'that time of the month', and lately that time of the month is almost ALL month. In fact I feel like a big huge walking CRAMP with bad skin!!!. I'm so tired of all this and can't wait for it to be over.

thats very standard to sign for both. i had to for my lsh...but didnt really worry too much about it changing. i did tell my dr to leave my ovaries and cervix. i would have rather faced another surgery down the road to remove them. i didnt want to mess with hormone replacement at 44. you will be fine...waiting is the hardest part and most like everything will go as planned.
