lavh with bad reaction to anesthesia

April 5 was my out patient surgery. I had numerous fibroid tumors. One partially in the cervical canal was 7.5 cm. Another was 4 cm.
I remember waking and thinking 'I am in the or!' Then I awoke in the recovery room with 4 people holding me. They told my family I was wild or out cold. I apparently demanded every pain Med known to man. I passed out when they attempted to walk me to the potty, and as they put me in the car. I was incoherent until some 6 hours later.
I am sure the nurses believe I am a druggie. They expressed concern to my family that I would take too much of the prescribed pain Med.
I have never had morphine or dilaudid they gave me both in recovery. I have only taken pain meds 4 times in all 45 years of my life. The strongest was this time ...percocet 5/325.
I am very sore most pain is when I stand.
My favorite advice I have seen here is 'no, your intestines will not burst through and hit the floor' I love it!
Edit: I did wake up during surgery. They told my family.

Some people have a strong reaction to morphine. they had my Dad on it when he broke his hip and he was convinced that the Drs and nurses were spies and they had his room tapped. He also called me in a state of panic to come and get him out because the hospital was on fire and they were evacuating.

I have a similar reaction to morphine and dilaudid. I tried to remove the skin from my back from scratching, then I went into hysterics. Finally, they gave me demerol in recovery but then told me I couldn't have it when I was moved to the floor. Well, apparently I went into hysterics again and they bent the rules for me. They made me feel like a drug addict because I had been previously taking narcotic pain meds due to a car accident I had in January where my car was totaled. I was never so happy to come home the day after.

I reported my experience to my gyn. He was not happy . I hope he really does follow up and set some people straight.
