injury at 10 weeks?

I am 10 weeks post op. I tried getting back to work this week for half days. I have to lift weight of about 20 lbs and it physical work. The second day back I did not feel well at all..very tired and kinda sore. The third day I was working through pain and the forth day I was in tears. For two days now my pelvic area above the pubic bone is stinging deep inside. I'm taking Aleve and Tylenol. Still stinging. And my back muscles are very sore too.
I'm worried now that I could have really damaged something. Can you at 10 weeks recovery? I rested all day and it still hurts.

Re: injury at 10 weeks?

Chex...have you phoned and checked in with your doctor? I know ten weeks seems like a long time but who knows what is going on in there. I would call the doctor regardless of it being the weekend or whatever. It is better to know if you should be worried or not.
Hope you feel much better very soon.....my thoughts are with you.

Re: injury at 10 weeks?

I went into emerge today, seeing I rested a few days and I'm stil sore. The dr. pushed on my external belly and nothing did really hurt. He looked inside and said everything looked ok. he felt around with fingers and that hurt. he didn't say very much except that there was alot of white discharge and prescribed Canestan. He said if the pain didn't get better to go see my surgeon. They really made me feel like I was half crazy and were saying that I should be much better by now. (10 weeks) I even had 3...yes 3 different people question me if I was in an abusive relationship. And then it felt like they were looking at me funny when I said that of course Iwas not. I guess I'm not allowed to have pain at 10 weeks post op without it being all in my head. Very discouraged.

Re: injury at 10 weeks?

There is no way I could have lifted 20 lbs at 10 weeks without some pain happening. At 5 months post-op, I pushed a huge cart at Sam's Club and I ended paying for it for a week after. It is very probable you are not healed enough to be lifting 20 lbs. I am glad you went to emerg but I do think you need to follow up with your surgeon. He or she knows what was done inside you and how it is supposed to heal.
