Unable to do sonohystogram

I went for a sonohystogram on thursday, and the Dr. was unable to complete the proceedure. When he tried to instill the saline to strech the uterus, it wouldn't strech. The saline just ran out. He tried several times, but was unable to instill it. He feels that it is most likely due to the kind of ablasion I had in 2002. I had a "spiked roller ball" ablation (I saw it in my chart from my former gyn when I was switching docs). My new doc said that sometimes that can happen due to scarring. Has anyone else had this problem? I am alittle concerned that maybe there is more to it than just scarring. My surgery isn't for 6 more weeks, and that seems like a long time to worry. I have had the same problem..due to a fibroid in the way. He tried and tried and just like you it just leaked all over. I had an Novasure ablation done in August last year but the fibroid was not removed. Everything was great up into 2 months ago where the pain came back in full force. I am now scheduled fot a LSH June 6 due not only to (now) two fibroids but painful ovarian cysts and constant itchy abdominal pain. I wondered too if this has happened to others. Hope you do well and let me know what happens next.

I should claify...I had the sonohystogram in January 2005 and when they couldn't perform it I had an MRI in February to rule out Andomyosis. When they ruled that out I had the Novasure done in August after heavy bleeding for he next 6 months...it's been a long road...
