Are you bleeding heavily, while you sit here waiting for your surgery date?
I bled every day for two solid YEARS, until I finally had my TAH last Monday.
When you bleed that heavy, that long a period of time, regular pads (even the overnight overflow size) and tampons just don't cut it after a while.
Eventually, I discovered that Depends undergarments were not just good for folks with bladder problems.
They are now making those undergarments so that they feel and even look just like the granny panties that you will wear during your healing time after the surgery.
If your flow is long enough, or heavy enough, you might want to get some Depends. You don't need to be embarrassed about the purchase -- its really no different than buying pads or tampons.
But if you are a bit shy about the purchase, just go to a store a mile or two out of your normal shopping range, and get it where nobody will know you.
Personally, I just bought huge boxes of the things at Costco, and said the heck with who might see that huge box in my cart. I was tired of changing pads all the time, and loosing perfectly good underwear to excessive overflow.
I don't know how I'd made it over the past two years, if it hadn't been for my Depends.
Only problem -- now that I had my operation, I haven't bled one single time. (Imagine that, an entire week without Aunt Flow !)
So what am I gonna do with that huge, still half full box of Depends, now that I don't need them anymore ?
