Why didn't I do this sooner?? 3 days post op.

3 days post op, had an abdominal hysterectomy but kept the cervix and ovaries.....I feel really good. Minimal pain which I control with Tylenol (narcotic meds make me sick). The gas pain is a bit irritating but I am taking gas-ex and making sure I get my walking in. Since I was not taking pain meds I was able to leave the hospital after 2 days.

Had I known I would have felt this good I think I would have done this sooner. I feared that I would have excruciating pain and a hard recovery. I realize that everybody heals in their own way and at their own pace. So far I am looking at this as a good experience, well as good as can be expected, and hope the progress continues.

Congratulations! The post op pain has been manageable for me as well. I thought it would be much worse, however, I am being cognizant to not overdo it. Be we'll and I wish you a speedy recovery!!!

I'm happy to hear that you are doing well. Its great that you have a positive outlook on your recovery, it really does help.
My recovery was fairly easy, with minimal not so good days. I pray the same for you.

Remember to always listen to your body, drink plenty of water, walk a little each hour that you are not resting and rest, rest, rest
