Five days post hysterectomy and feeling emotional

Hello! I had a robotic hysterectomy with removal of everything except my ovaries last Thursday (today is Tuesday). Overall, I'm doing good. Pain is tolerable. I finally had a BM. I walk for 5-10 minutes every hour or two since I woke up in the hospital. I have a muscle disease that everyone thought would severely complicate things, but I'm actually doing great.
At any rate, today I have felt emotional. Tearing up more than once. This is very 'not me'. I'm pretty tough and non-emotional. Interestingly, the feelings I've had today are similar to the post-pardum ones after I had my son (over 15 years ago). It's odd to me because they left both ovaries. But it feels very hormonal. I was due to start my period the day of surgery, so it's not PMS. It's just the weirdest thing and I'd love your support and suggestions

Just go with it. Tears release pain and stress hormones. Just let your s.o./family members know what is going on so they don't drive you, and themselves, crazy trying to "fix" things to get you to stop crying.
