3 days post hysterectomy: Does anyone have any suggestions to help with Night sweats

I didn't know it was humanly possible to sweat so much! The last few days, since surgery, I've been either burning up or freezing cold and last night I was SOAKED in my sleep. Do any of you have suggestions to help with the night sweats?

Some background:
I've been taking Avlimil per my Dr's suggestion (it's supposed to help with menopause/ female issues) for a few months now and I thought it would prevent this "side effect" but I guess not.
Also I can't just run the A/C because my husband has Diabetic neuropathy and when he gets cold he hurts something awful

Hi Aries84. It's bend about a year since my hysterectomy. I had peri menopausal symptoms prior to surgery so postophotflashes weren't an issue. Night sweats combined with insomnia were a problem as was the anxiety/depression I felt for months postop. These days it's rare that I get anxious/depressed. Hot flashes/night swears still occur affecting my sleep ... I avoid prescription mess and OTC I prefer natural - I heard how apple cider vinegar can/may help - I'm excited to try it !

Apple Cider Drink Recipe
1-2 tablespoons organic apple cider vinegar
8oz water
Drink 1-2 times daily

I'm excited to start this today. Hope this helps. I will let you know how it goes and if you decide to try it let me know also.

I kept my ovaries and haven't had night sweats but studied in Greece two summers ago and my bedroom was over 100 degrees every night. I was miserable. Then we ordered these gel neck coolers from a sporting goods store that were so wonderful. I appreciate your sensitivity to your husband and hope you find relief soon!

I got a BIG fan. It's my best friend! I think the white noise helps my sleep too.

What is the white noise?

I had a friend suggest putting a change, or two, of PJ's in the freezer as well. I'm going to try all suggestions because to me sweating that much is just crazy lol

White noise is sounds from fans, water falls, rain. It's just relaxing sometimes and helps drown out annoying sounds like traffic and kids.
