incision problem?

Is it normal for the end of your abdominal incision to be leaking a little pus after 31/2 to four weeks? Maybe the stiches at the end are working out instead of dissolving? It doesn't throb and there aren't streak marks on the surrounding skin.

Call your physician and see if you can schedule an appointment for them to check your incision just to be sure that there isn't any problems.

Pus is generally a sign of infection. Drainage at the site is usually clear if no infection. Unfortunately I'm learning way more about this then I wanted to and I'm going to a wound clinic twice/day to have mine irrigated, packed and re-dressed. Please call your dr. to check it.
