Re: tummy swelling lasting too long!!!!!

I had my TAH 10 months ago and I still have swelly belly. The good news is that the soreness finally went away at month 9. Hang in there! It will get better.

Re: tummy swelling lasting too long!!!!!

I am 3 weeks post op and still feel very bloated. I had a 10 cm fibroid removed from my uterus and thought my stomach would be smaller right away. I really hope it goes down within 5 months. My son is getting married and I don't want to look pregnant!

Thank you so much for sharing. I am merely 4 weeks post op and thanks to you sharing I know how long I have to wait for my swelly belly to shrink. My swelly belly is not as bad in the mornings it tends to grow as the day progresses.

Stay Well

Oh My !!! Two years out and still swelly belly...You poor thing.. I am only about two months out but at least my belly button pain is getting less, although I still get the bloating and then my stretch waist pants feel like they are at their maximum stretch !!! I am holding my same weight, but now trying to lose again. Was bad baking and eating pumpkin deserts.

Re: tummy swelling lasting too long!!!!!

Hello Everyone,

I'm four months out from my surgery and still have the swelly belly. It's good to know I'm not the only one. Right after Thanksgiving I started a diet and it seems like the weight is not going anywhere and the belly is not helping. Some days I can button my pants and other days I can't. This is so frustrating to me. I actually gained after my surgery and I'm not happy at all about the weight. If anyone have some ideas please let me know.

I had a visit with my Dr. today 4 week post-op. I have lost 9lbs since my surgery. But I am definitely considering this eating plan.

I am a year and a half post op and still swell when I do too much. Haven't worn my regular pants since surgery. Not happy about that.

Re: tummy swelling lasting too long!!!!!

I am trying to lose weight also, and actually doing pretty good at it. What I have been eating is more vegetables and less meat. Some days I cheat and have some sweets, but then I tell myself...have to stay away from them guys... Why do sweets have to taste so good ??

I guess we have to take it one day at a time, and when our bellies are ready to get rid of the swelling, we will be so happy.
