Re: 2 weeks post op and spotting

My doctor was very clear with me that there would be several "stages" of recovery to include discharge. He said as the different types and locations of sutures dissolve, I will continue to have discharge and even a few days of bright blood but that all of this is normal. I would check with your doctor if they told you something otherwise but to me it still sounds normal! Good luck!

Re: 2 weeks post op and spotting

Thanks for the info. I don't think my doctor discussed this with me. I did some laundry yesterday and ironed so I think I'm going to do nothing for the next 4 weeks. I don't lime this. I'm not the type to take it easy so this is a sign to stop I guess.

Re: 2 weeks post op and spotting

no problem! my doctor didn't put many restrictions on me as he says my body would let me know if it wasn't right! he said "eat when you can, rest when you can, no powerlifting or dance classes and let your body heal". My mom is old school and thinks I need to lie around and do nothing but my body hurts more from inactivity than if I get up and do some light house work. I am going to try to walk some today so hopefully I won't regret it tomorrow! Continued healing!
