"knot" at end of incision

Hi...
I felt what I can only describe as a knot at the end of my incision. It is underneath my stomach "fold" so I can't really see it well. Tried useing a mirror, and nothing looked amiss. It doesen't really hurt, but when I touched it I felt a slight quiver inside. DH is at work right now so I can't use his eyes till later. Could this be just normal scar tissue forming? I thought I would ask if this is something anyone else felt before I call the Doc unnecsessarily.
Thank you!

Knots

Hi, I think I have the same thing you are talking about. My one year anniversary will be June 18th (yippee!). My incision (12 staples long!) has always developed little lumpy bumps or knots. Usually they appear at the end of the incision sometimes the middle. They have not concerned me. I think they are just what you said- scar tissue. Often mine crop up when I have worn low rider jeans or underwear that rubs along that line. They happen less and less as time goes on. When the scar was still itchy (yes itchy, even months later) they seem to develop or get bigger then. Remember there is alot of fatty tissue in that area and you are healing many layers down. I wouldn't worry but certainly ask your doctor when you see him/her. Good luck.
