11 weeks post hysterectomy - still heaviness and soreness after exercise and housework. Haematoma?
Hi I am 11weeks post lavh. Had a haematoma at week 3/4 but been slow healing since. Back at work two weeks ago.
I have been feeling good in myself these past few days so I've been on the treadmill speed walking. Also vacuumed for the first time a couple of days ago.
Today I have a real heavy achy feeling down below in the vaginal area and where the cuff is. Feels like it could be swollen. Could I have caused damage - I really thought I would be fine to carry on with my activities by now and be pretty much unaffected.
Also had some bowel related pain like when I had my haematoma. Is it possible to have another haematoma this late in my recovery?
Feeling a bit deflated today!
Any advice would be great!

The only way to get a hematoma is from bleeding internally. I don't think at 11 weeks you would get another one. Was the last one removed or left to heal on its own?

Thanks for your reply
My haematoma was left to drain by itself. I had pain with it and lost several clots along with the bleeding. I had an infection from it which I had antibiotics for. As I finished the antibiotics the bleeding and pain stopped.
I also have pain when I lean against my belly button on my kitchen units. I guess this must be from scar tissue?
I have some discharge today ( creamy slightly yellow in colour)
Think I need to keep an eye on this in case I have another infection.
Kind of fed up with all this now! It seems to be taking an eternity to heal!!

(((Hugs))) I know you feel like your never going to be the same and your just sick and tired of feeling this way. I was there too at one time my sister. But I promise you your time is coming soon. It takes your body a full year to heal after surgery You may look good on the outside but on the inside sweetie your body is still trying to heal itself from this major surgery you just had. Give yourself some time and expect to have some days that your just not up to par. It's okay to be frustrated. Your allowef to be Hun. Be patient with your new body and soon you will be loving the new you!!
If the discharge continues to be yellow/ odor . Please give your dr a call.

Dawnsy- thank you for your words of encouragement!
I actually feel embarrassed about not being 'good' by now. I don't even tell people I'm still struggling because by now it's just expected that you should be fine. ( well apart from those of you who have been through it!)
I feel so much better in my mind and my energy its just my body needs to catch up!
Thanks again
