there's not enough xanax in the world!!

I'm losing my mind!!! Had my pre-op today which I thought went well. Surgery supposed to monday AM. Also had to stop at my "primary" dr. office to get them to respond to the doctor with a referral for my bilateral stent that's also being done. Apparently they've been trying to get the referral but nobody has been responding. Course the other doctor says they never received any requests. Yeah right. What is an office staff for? And when do I get put on the payroll for doing their jobs?
Now to the first thing, apparently I was wrong. My ekg was abnormal they said. Now tommorrow I have to take off work, boss didn't sound thrilled, but said do what you gotta do. Gotta go to a cardiologist. And guess what? Gotta go back to the "primary" doctor for another referral. I haven't figured out yet why on earth <oops> would require the "primary" doctors to "refer" me when they aren't even seeing me for this and they aren't who is referring me either. DUH! Why do we have specialists? Cause they specialize in these areas, sounds like to me they oughta just trust the specialist to know what they are doing and stop making us make so many backflips. Let me guess I'll get to the cardio doc and he'll probably say I'm stressed. Wonder why?
I managed thru the 2nd half of today with one low dose xanax and really am in need for another but I'll wait until I get home. otion: Maybe I oughta ask hubby just to knock me out with the frying pan! LOL

Oh, ugh!!!

I've been having issues with my insurance/docs too!!! Isn't it rediculus!?!?!?!? The insurance co. just changed it's policy for the new year.... I don't need a referal for a PAP... WOOHOO, though when the PAP/ pelvic shows abnormalities I need a referal to go back to the gyn.... My PCP office is mad because I'm not using one of their gyns... HELLO???? Have they ever seen anything in there? NO!!!!... and gives me a hard time with the referal. They waited 'til the last possible moment to get ahold of me about the referal! Luckily, my gyn nurses are awesome!!! They stayed after work to get it straightened out for me (told me to go lay down, they'd take care of it).

I don't understand the need for referals, except to make more paperwork!!! Aren't we adults? Capable of making informed decisions? Ugh!

I was nervous too, the last 24 hours I counted down the minutes until I would get the Versed started. All I could think about was getting the Versed, then everything would be allright.

No not me on xanax, it wore off! LOL Note the part low dose, she prescribed the lowest dose. She could've gone up one I think! LOL Actually I'm now home and chillin. It didn't help when I got the call about the cardio doc, I had 2 other phones ringing and and impatient person on one of them. The other one heard everything going on my line since I didn't get it on hold and she made me stop take a breath and prayed with me. I was shocked, should'nt have been though she's a really good customer of mine.

Anywho, it's more the fact that I was in the store with customers and no where to escape to deal with it all. Unfortunately I work by myself right now in a small furniture store. Boss was in another store and tommorrow I was supposed to finish organizing and help the new person figure out what he had to do when he came to my location. Oh, well guess the boss will have to do that now. Guess I could look at it like they really need me if they aren't able to deal with me leaving one day earlier! LOL

I'm usually pretty hiper and stuff if you haven't noticed. I'm also used to being in control and feel like someone has took all my control away. Guess it's time for me to sit back and try to enjoy the ride. I have gotten some relaxation music and instruction. I wonder how the customers would've reacted if I popped it in the cd player and just played it out loud while they were there. I could've made it a group effort! hee hee. Thanks Amy-Lynn
