TVH 3 weeks out & I feel like a hot mess

It is almost 2:45am and of course, I am awake. I have not been able to sleep since the surgery 3 weeks ago! My doctor prescribed Ambien, I tried it once and I felt like I was in a fog the next day!
Also, I am still feeling a lot of pressure and stabbing vaginal pain. I am still having to take pain meds at night! Am I the only one who is 3 weeks out and still feeling miserable?

Hi... I am awake too! My surgery was Dec. 9th. I am having trouble with insomnia, headaches and a few hotflashes. Pain is less it basically feels like my abdomen is bruised and I have shooting pains in my vagina. Physically i am feeling really put of it. It is an effort to do things I would rather lay down. I think the third week sucks and I hope the fourth week is better for both of us!

No! I am too and wondering why this recovery is takimg so long. Slept awfully last night so a little drained now. Have a very swollen abdomen which feels nasty and cramy all the time, so take some paracetamol before going to sleep as well. Have to call my dr in about five minutes if I have a new UTI that is causing the cramps, might be bladder spasms.

So, you are definately not the only one out there, I see on this forum alot of sisters have a bad spell at the three week mark, so maybe it is just normal healing? Good Luck, I hope you amnage some sleep tonight, here is almost noon, so I might try a nap later on!
